National Competition

Students put their skills to the ultimate test in the National Competition. ProStart’s culinary and management competitions invites each state’s top ProStart team to demonstrate their skills in front of the nations top chefs and restaurant managers, with the winning teams competing for thousands of dollars in scholarships. What makes this competition different than other competition? Representatives of the nation’s restaurant industry designed it for high school students to test their skills. Team Georgia Placed 3rd in 2011!

 

ProStart National Certificate of Achievement

When the students complete the program, ProStart graduates earn a ProStart National Certificate of Achievement. This certificate recognizes students who have successfully completed the program and are eligible to earn special scholarships and college credit from colleges and universities across the country.

ProStart Scholarships and College Credit

Students who receive the ProStart certificate are eligible for NRAEF scholarship opportunities and course credits a more than 75 of the country’s leading hospitality and culinary arts colleges and universities.

Annually, more than $1 million in scholarships are awarded to the top five Management and Culinary ProStart national competition teams. In 2011, Team Georgia was ranked 3rd!

Nationally Standardized Educator Training and Certification

NRAEF provide educators with a forum to learn cutting-edge skills, which they can then take back to the classroom. Industry experts share their experience in classroom settings and in industry training facilities in weeklong intensive workshops. Scholarships for educators are available from industry.
